4-H Scholarship results

Congratulations to Ian Hartman of South Whitley.
He was named second runner-up as Mr. Whitley County at the annual 4-H scholarship pageant this evening.
Ian is the son of James and Cherie Hartman and a nine-year 4-H member.
He is a member of the Cleveland Showman and has held the office of President of the Poultry Club. He is a 2008 Whitko High School graduate and plans to attend St. Francis College in Fort Wayne this fall where he will be a member of the track team.
Ian was an Independent Cooperative Education (ICE) student at the Tribune-News this spring.

Joining Ian in the contest were two other 2008 WHS graduates.
Jennalin is the daughter of Steve and Carla Gebert. She is a member of the Richland Ramblers 4-H Club.
She is a 10-year 4-H member and the current president of the Horse & Pony Club.
She plans to attend Purdue University this fall.

Kayla Alma is the daughter of Mike and Nola Alma and has been a Richland Rambler 4-H Club member for five years.
Her 4-H projects this year include: cake decorating, cat, beef, food and horse and pony.
She plans to attend Black Hawk College, Illinois, this fall.
